The easiest way to get a pattern - to put it out of the finished braid. In Western literature, this kind of work is called "ribbon" with lace and include a section of the needle lace. In this pattern, you can decorate the collar, cuffs, box, sleeve, sleeveless, cloth. It is possible to state with certainty that the implementation of such decoration does not require special skills and forces any aspiring needlewoman, one has only to try.
Material. Flat silk braid with a small loop at the edges, "centipede". Loops around the edges "centipede" is convenient to grab a needle and connected to each other. It can be used for this type of work and a thin ribbon, the ribbon and other types of tape or cord. Selecting the tape depends on the type of material and decorate the product or if the product is independent, on its purpose.

Thread. Thin nylon. And any other thread can be used, but stronger nylon. When choosing a thread must be considered as the material of the woven braid.
Devices and materials at hand. Tracing paper, oil cloth or thick paper, a needle.

Operating procedure. The pattern is applied to the tracing. According to the pattern line spread webbing and tack it to the tracing paper seam "forward needle", that is the most usual basting stitch (Figure 2.1). At the intersections braid bonded manually short stitches invisible seam "back needle". Large gaps are filled Breeden. Apply decorating seams.

When the entire pattern will be sewn up, tracing wipe from the inside with a damp cloth and gently pluck. In an ordinary linen fabric can be used as a basis. In this case, the braid sewn on the base seam "forward needle" and then, after fixing elements of drawing, basting and ready to rip pattern is separated from the base. The resulting pattern starching inside out, dried and ironed. All the next section will be devoted to the finer points of this type of work.

Consider a few examples of this simple technique.

The pattern for the collar and cuffs

pattern in Figures 2.2a and 2.2b for decoration collar and cuffs monochromatic dresses. Braid spread by the pattern line, tack and fasten the coil threads. It is important to carefully connect the ends of the braid butt. In the middle, each flower embroider spider, which is drawn between the petals Breeden and bonded bundle (details on spiders and Breeden see below).
