In this article, I will tell you about how I knitted a scarf "Mouse". My MK Part 1cap "Mouse" you can see here The kit is very famous and many have already repeated it. Since on the Internet, I have not found a single description of this scarf hook, and with spokes I'm not friends, I decided to connect everything myself, by trial and error. And believe me, they were not few and I suffered with it for a long time. But the result was satisfied, so I decided to share it with you! So, let's get started.
To knit a scarf, we need Bamboo Wool yarn (48% merino wool, 10% bamboo, 42% acrylic 500 m, 100 gr), 2 skeins pink and slightly gray, and white and black yarn for finishing (I have Yarn Art Lili White (100% cotton, 50gr-225m) and Yarn Art Etamine black (100% acrylic, 30g-180m), and a little bit of filler for the spout.Hook No. 2, a needle with a blunt end for sewing parts and various ribbons for your taste and what you will find!), as well as beads, beads for decoration.
MK from here
Scarf begin to knit pink, hook number 2. If we used a thread in 2 additions to knit a cap, then here we use one thread!
Scheme # 1. Scheme for knitting the head, ears, eyes and spout.
The scarf is 110 cm long and 15 cm wide. You can change this data to your taste. To start knitting, I made a pattern, nothing complicated - a normal circle with a diameter equal to the width of the scarf. I have 15 cm, as I already wrote above. Below on the pattern, as you can see, I marked the distance 5 cm (the width of the scarf is divided by 3) - this will be the beginning of our knitting.
We start with the air loops, I have 10 of them. Then we knit on the description that is given in this photo (uh, I had to deal with them!). For example, in the second row is already 14 stb, so on each side we are tying three loops at once, and so on. I think that it is not difficult here.
You can "play" with loops to achieve a perfectly smooth circle, but small errors (like me) do not interfere, then it is more convenient to tie paws.
That's the kind of semicircle that we should end up with. Then we knit without adding stb to the required length, I have 46 loops. And here went a long and dreary process)))) At the end of knitting (when to the end of the scarf will remain approximately 8 cm) we begin to make adjustments, according to the same description.
In order to level the base under the paws, the rounding places I tied a wall. Pay attention to the fact that you always need to monitor which side you will have the face and the underside, so that the feet "begin" the same way. I several times bandaged because of my inattention)))
Here is a description of the legs, it starts from the bottom up, as you noticed (for the convenience of knitting).
Below are the sizes of the feet. The length is 12-13 cm.
The width of the extension on the foot is 7-8 cm.
Then we tie the whole scarf completely in a step. And, we bind the paws in a loop of each row. So it will look more beautiful.
And we tie a scarf through a loop (this photo is visible). If you tie each loop, then it will be your "accordion" (you have checked it on your own experience! If you want, you can experiment!).
The base of the scarf is ready. Now proceed to the design mordashki. We begin to knit a head. At first I connected it with a thread in 2 additions, since I thought that later sewn eyes and a nose would "stick out" it (after all we would only sew the head to the scarf in a circle so that the inside of the scarf turned out neat). And here I made another mistake. So, we knit the head as well as the scarf in one thread according to the scheme No. 1, with a diameter of 15 cm, as well as a scarf, tied with a step of steppe.
That's what we get later. The bulges on the circle are then smoothed out with an iron, do not worry.
All the components of the muzzle are knitted according to the scheme No.1. I do not cite a specific number of loops, since it will all be different depending on many factors (yarn thickness, knitting patterns, etc.). Ears knit one piece, in contrast to the ears on the cap. First in gray, also in one thread. Then 2 rows of pink color + tying strapping step. The diameter of the ear is 7 cm. We sew the ears not through the scarf, so that the underside is neat again.
Next, we knit our eyes and spout (thread in 2 additions). The diameter of the eye is 6 cm, the diameter of the pupil is 2.5 cm.
We decorate the face, embroider cilia and antennae (about which I first forgot, as you can see from the photo!).
Sew on the already formed face in a circle.
Next, we knit circles for the feet. The big circle: 1 row - 12 stsn, 2 ranks - 24 stsn, 3 rd - 36 stbn (alternating 1 and 2 stb in each loop of the previous row). Small circle: 1 row - 12 stsn, 2nd row - 24 stb.
The diameter of the large circle is 3.5 - 4 cm, the small circle is 2.5 cm.
Sew the circles on the paws. This is the first option, like on my scarf.
This is the second option. You can and do as someone likes.
Here's something similar to this you should get in the end. Only with antennae)))
This is the inside of the scarf, as you see everything is neat, no extra loops and stitches "got out".
At the end we sew the tail, I have about 15-16 cm. To do this, cut off 12 pieces of a 40 cm long thread and braid it into a pigtail. If it is too long, it can always be shortened. We decorate the scarf for your taste. The bow on the ear I just "picked up" a few stitches (when washing it can be easily whipped), and a bow on the tail sewn to a little rubber.
That's all, our scarf "Mouse" is ready.
