NAPKIN WITH GRAPES.

3:27:00 PM

The model is crocheted in the technique of Irish lace. You need 200 grams of cotton thread, hook 1,5.
The product is made up of round tracery motifs (Scheme 10a), relief leaves (Figure 106) and clusters of "grapes" from the motifs of the Scheme. 10b, which are connected in the process of knitting. Leaf stems are formed as a result of tying the RLS behind the back wall.

It is advisable to adhere to such a sequence when knitting a napkin: first, connect the 1 round motif according to the scheme 10a, then the 14 motifs of the "grapes" (Scheme 10c), attaching them to the round motif (7 on the left and on the right)

Next, complete 12 leaves (cf. 106), connect them together according to pattern 10 with a hook (or needle). Next, connect 22 "grapes" and collect from them with thread with a needle two bunches according to the scheme 10. Two more "grapes" sew in the middle branches from the leaves. Connect the branches to the cluster by means of a cut (cord-caterpillar). After the central part of the composition is finished, follow the strapping according to the 10 g pattern. Next, knit 14 openwork motifs (see 10a). connecting them together and simultaneously with the grid during the execution of the last row with the help of "pico".

"Let's knit the grapes."
Particular attention should be paid to the technique of "grapes". The work is done on a bourdon, which is obtained due to the winding of 10-20 turns of thread around the pencil. Carefully remove the burdon and, having grasped the working thread, fasten its VP. Then tie a ring RLS. The 2nd row is executed by rococo or twisted columns in the following order: pull the loop out to the extent of mm, wind evenly (not very tightly), holding the middle finger of the right hand on the hook of 15-20 threads of thread, prick the hook into the nearest RNS ring, grab work thread, pull out the loop and stretch it through all the turns that are on the hook. Make a crochet and stretch it through the loop that is on the hook. Repeat the algorithm a further 13-15 times. Attention! To knit the rococo columns, it is recommended that the hook is a conical shape that thickens to the handle, but you can use the usual one. The execution of such columns requires a lot of experience, attention, accuracy and patience. The most difficult stage in this process is dragging the hook with the thread through the "tunnel" from the turns. You can do this in many ways - with one deft movement or gradual pulling through each turn, but you can choose the most acceptable option for yourself only as a result of a long working out of skills while tying rococo columns.
